God and My Family: Tenderheart Catholic Faith Award Workbook

The God and My Family book guides Catholic Tenderhearts (ages 6-9) through an awareness of who they are as children of God in the family of the Catholic Church. Girls will learn about the Holy Mass, sacraments, traditions and history of the Catholic Church with fun hands-on activities. Tenderhearts are encouraged to explore and perform works of charity for their families and neighbors.  

This book is divided into three Segments: one Segment for each year of the Level. AHG NCC developed the Catholic Faith Awards to be worked on each year.  

Parents or Leaders should take the Catholic Faith Award Mentor Training prior to starting the book. Refer to the Faith Award Program Overview located in AHGresource for more details. 

After the Tenderheart completes a Segment in the book, the Troop authorized purchaser can order the corresponding Segment patch. Once she completes Segments 1, 2, and 3, the God and My Family Medal can be ordered through your diocesan authorized purchaser.
